ware possible all goods will be shipped within 48 hours of placing an order if an item is out of stock and delivery may be delayed we will inform the customer.
Bees will be shipped when they are ready and not before. the dates on the website are meant as a guide and will be our target for dispatch. We only send bees using Royal Mail Special Delivery and we only ship on Mondays, Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays to avoid bees possibly sitting in a depot. We will always call before shipping to arrange convenient dates.
Damage in Transit
Damage to goods in transit must be notified to us immediately, on receipt. You must delete “in good condition” from the consignment note writing “unexamined or damaged.” Regrettably damaged goods cannot be replaced unless this has been done. Carriage charges must be paid for by customer in the event of returning items, including purchase applicable under the distance selling regulations. It is regretted that no responsibility can be accepted for glass breakages by carriers. However, customers may make alternative arrangements for carriage of glass items if they wish.
Distance Selling Regulations
Please note, that any item purchased by distance means (i.e. telephone email or internet with no face to face contact) allows a 7 day period from receipt of goods in which items can be returned for a full refund. Return postage for goods cancelled within the 7 day cooling off period will be payable by the customer. However, this will not apply where faulty or misdescribed goods are received. Your statutory rights will not be affected.
Policy for refunds of deposits for bees
If the conciliation is made up to two weeks prior to planed dispatch date, we will refund pre payment of any postage for bees and 50% of the deposit for the bees as they are produced to order. If a cancelation is made after this point we will only refund postage costs as we have encored cost of production and cancelation at this point will mean further care and costs for the bees.
We do not keep any financial details from any customer. Any personal address or email data is used solely by us as a way of keeping in touch with our customers and we do not sell of give you details to any 3rd parties.
